Why visit Pench? Pench is a vibrant place in Madhya Pradesh, India, surrounded by thick and dense forests, making it an ideal retreat for those seeking a respite from their bustling lives. A village is a fundamental unit in a country, and that is where we went to learn the art of pottery and carving.
Pench Tiger Reserve, a renowned protected area located near the Pench River, has six different gates through which people can enter the Tiger Reserve. We entered through the fifth gate. The tiger reserve boasts various varieties of flora and fauna. We saw Royal Bengal Tigers, Leopards, and Pangolins-an endangered species. Additionally, we spotted deers, jackals, peacocks, wild boar, kingfishers, eagles, and many more. While everyone is familiar with the Royal Bengal Tiger, have you heard about Collarwali? Collarwali is the Queen of tigers; she had given birth to 29 cubs in eight litters and lived more than 16 years.
The most commonly found tree in Pench is teak wood and the Ghost trees stand out among tree species. Ghost trees change their colour depending on the season in three shades: green, pink, and white. We also visited a local pottery village, where we had hands-on experience making our own clay pots. If a person wants to do pottery, they should have dedication, concentration, and put in a lot of hard work.
The main reason to visit Pench is to witness the amazingly diverse wildlife. It is the best place to relax and spend time with your family and friends. Is Pench now on your travel list?
