Ranthambore: The Wild Side of India 2024

Back to wall

There is a famous slogan that goes, “A world without wildlife is a world without beauty.” We believe that is very true because most of the beauty we see around us comes from nature, like forests, mountains, and rivers.

Today, human beings are the bulls in a China shop as they are careless towards nature and cause harm to animals. Some human beings are cruel and find joy from hunting and poaching. We cut through thick forests to make roads and railways. These are the reasons wildlife animals are at a risk of going extinct. Ranthambore National park was established in 1980 to protect the wildlife in the Ranthambore forest area. It is surrounded by the Banas river in the north and Chambal river in the south. It covers an area of 1334 square kilometres.

Ranthambore is also a tiger reserve under the Project Tiger, which aims to save the tiger population. There are currently more than 50 reserves under the Project Tiger. Poaching is a serious global issue, and to prevent poaching, the Rajasthan government, in 2018, installed thermal-sensing cameras and watchtowers to track any illegal movement. Ranthambore is rich in wildlife and it can be enjoyed through its famous Jungle Safari. It gave us a chance to appreciate nature and it was thrilling to ride through the forest, hoping to spot a tiger.

So, if we want to continue enjoying nature’s wonders, then let’s unite to save the world from getting doomed and colourless. Let’s save tigers, nature’s majestic creature. We should learn from our mistakes and protect wildlife. It’s a pleasure to walk on the same Earth as they do.
