We have always heard about Rajasthan’s diverse culture. We appreciate local women making beautiful handmade items and the historic architecture of Rajasthan like Ranthambore Fort. On our visit to Ranthambore, we got to learn about Rajasthan and its culture.

This trip has been full of adventure. We learnt so much about the different animals. At Ranthambore National Park, we learnt about the difference between the physical features of a tiger and a tigress. On the jungle safari, we saw three tigers, leopards, crocodiles, snakes, spotted deer and antelopes. We learnt that there are more than eighty tigers and three hundred species of birds in Ranthambore National Park.

We also learnt about Bandhani, an art form carried forward by Rajasthani people. The guide told us that when deer have a deficiency in calcium, they shed their horns to use the calcium in their bones.

We learnt that Ranthambore Fort was constructed in 944 AD. The Ranthambore Fort is known to have witnessed the war of 1303 that was fought between Rao Hamir and Alauddin Khilji. We felt that discovering such a building would be very adventurous. It contains many temples, tanks, massive gates, huge walls and has many stairs.

On this trip, we got to visit a temple, a fort, an NGO and a national park. We learnt many new facts. We liked that now we can differentiate between a male and a female tiger. And we are aware of the generations of tigers.
