The hills are always calling for those who want to experience the Earth more intimately. The gush of wind in Viraatkhai makes you feel at peace with your surroundings and the hills provide a sense of serenity.

Our camping trip to Viraatkhai was full of adventure and appreciating the beauty of nature. Viraatkhai is an ancient hill town with beautiful nature trails that house a variety of flora and fauna. We found many species of butterflies in Viraatkhai and they were absolutely magnificent. Some of the butterflies we spotted were huge black butterflies with beautiful long wings called Swallowtails, white butterflies with black polka dots, small pastel green butterflies, orange and black Monarchs, and gorgeous purple-pink butterflies.

At the camp, we also learnt how to survive in the wild. To live outside in camps, we had to be vigilant. We were made to remember the WANDER rule of the camp for our own safety and to preserve the wilderness around us. WANDER is an abbreviation wherein each letter’s meaning is explained as follows.
W for welcome or to feel at home
A for all senses alert
N for no pollution
D for do not contact wild animals
E for emergency/medical care always near you
R for review your safety

Viraatkhai camp was a lifestyle, one that needed to be sailed via our thrill for adventure. It is important to remember the WANDER rule and be respectful to your surroundings while having fun.
