Jhalana Jungle Safari: Discovering Wildlife Beyond the Classroom 2025
Our Ganga International School planned a three-day journey to the picturesque city of Jaipur, Rajasthan. In this blog, we reported our hair-raising experience of the Jhalana Leopard Safari we did on the second day of our journey.
To begin the safari, our teachers asked us to get ready by 4 am and board the bus by 5 am. We reached the bus on time. Our entourage consisted of two AC deluxe buses. One bus had the boys and the other had the girls. As we began the safari, we were in awe of the breathtaking views of the jungle and the cheerful sounds of birds around us. It was our first-hand experience of a safari, and we enjoyed it.
When we reached the safari spot, we were divided into twelve gypsies. By 6:20 am, we set out to explore the jungle. As we moved ahead along the hill track, we saw a sudden flash of movement to our left. We chased it and saw a leopard hunting a deer. We also spotted a herd of hyenas chasing a wild pig. We were fascinated to learn that the Jhalana Safari currently hosts over 40 leopards and 5 cubs.
The entire journey was without any melancholy, and was an experience to remember forever. We would suggest everyone try this event at least once. We were very thankful to our honourable teachers and magnanimous principal for arranging this wonderful trip. We look forward to writing more blogs in the future.
