Ranthambore is a well known national park and a tiger reserve. The place greeted us like a secret waiting to be whispered. For the safari, we climbed into our canters with the hope of spotting the legendary tiger. The forest spread wide before us, looking deep and mysterious. However, the tiger remained a phantom, leaving us to discover the magic of the forest and other animals.
We spotted plenty of deer tiptoeing along the forest paths. We observed their ears which twitched with every sound. There were many bright birds like the peacock and the hornbill. We were amazed to spot a neelgai in the woods. Our guide educated us about the importance of keeping our environment safe and clean. During our safari ride, we enjoyed the view of clouds rolling in with the cool breeze, which refreshed our mood completely.
The next day, we went to explore an NGO called Dastkar, started in 1981. It helps craftspeople and women earn their living by making traditional handmade products. After that, we had an educational visit to the Rajiv Gandhi Regional Museum of Natural history. At the museum, we discovered the various types of animal and plant species. As we headed back to the hotel, it began to rain. The after-effects of the rain made the forests look even prettier.
Overall the visit to Ranthambore was an unmatchable experience for us. We reconnected with nature and made the best memories on our school trip. Ranthambore is truly a heavenly destination for people who are curious and eager to learn about wildlife. We look forward to visiting Ranthambore again.
