Discovering How UAE and NASA collaborate for Space Research 2025

Stepping into the Kennedy Space Center felt like walking into the future. We have always been fascinated by space and this visit was a dream come true. What made it even more exciting was learning about how the UAE and NASA are working together to push the boundaries of space exploration.

One of the most inspiring collaborations between the UAE and NASA is the Emirates Mars Mission. In 2021, the UAE made history by becoming the first Arab nation to send a probe to Mars. The Hope Probe, which now orbits the Red Planet, was supported by NASA’s Deep Space Network, helping scientists receive crucial data about Mars’ atmosphere. Standing near a model of a Mars rover at NASA, we realised how space exploration is truly a global effort.

One of the highlights of our visit was meeting an astronaut who had been to space. As he described his experiences, I couldn’t help but think of Hazza Al Mansouri, the UAE’s first astronaut, who trained with NASA before his historic journey to the International Space Station. NASA’s astronaut training program is now inspiring young Emiratis to dream of becoming space explorers themselves. The UAE Astronaut Program, supported by NASA, is preparing future generations for space travel, proving that with determination, even the stars are within reach.

NASA is not just exploring space, it’s inspiring the next generation of UAE space explorers. Seeing the Apollo 11 exhibit and learning about past Moon missions made me realise that the next great space achievement might have an Emirati flag alongside others.
