In Japan, we experienced a beautiful mix of culture, history, nature, and unforgettable moments together. Once we arrived, seeing the bright lights of Tokyo from the bus window gave us the first glimpse of an incredible country. After that, we visited Odaiba, which was a futuristic experience. Later, we explored the Miraikan Museum and the JAXA Space Center. In the evening, we visited the famous Shibuya Crossing that was extremely clean and organised despite the massive crowd, something that we had only heard about before.

The following day, we visited the Senso-ji Temple. The peaceful atmosphere made us feel connected to Japan’s rich traditions. Later, from the observation deck of Tokyo Skytree, we observed the vast city. We also participated in a Japanese calligraphy session, which required immense precision. In addition, the views from the Hakone Ropeway were breathtaking. Seeing the volcanic landscape of Owakudani and then cruising on Lake Ashi felt postcard-worthy. Catching a glimpse of Mt. Fuji was also exciting.

In Nagoya, the visit to SCMaglev and Railway Park and the Toyota Museum showcased how innovation shaped modern Japan. Through these visits, we saw how ideas could grow into achievements that would impact the whole world. Visiting Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and the Peace Memorial Museum was another powerful experience. Reading the stories of survivors and seeing the preserved artefacts made it impossible not to reflect on the importance of peace and the strength of the people who rebuilt their city after such a tragedy.

Then, we went to Nara and Kyoto. Feeding the friendly deer in Nara Park was a fun experience, and visiting Todai-ji Temple left us amazed by its size and beauty. In Kyoto, walking through the red Torii Gates at Fushimi Inari Shrine felt magical. We spent the next day at Universal Studios Japan. It was the perfect balance between fun and exploration. We experienced a new culture, witnessed incredible natural beauty, learnt important lessons from history, and created memories together that we will treasure forever.
