Discover the Tribal Heartland of Araku 2023

Back to wall

Tribal life revolves around working with nature and worship. At the Tribal Museum, you will find the perfect example of a tribe living in harmony with their surroundings. The Tribal Museum also showcases the beautiful traditions of the tribal people and their culture. It is an ideal place to learn about the tribal lifestyle, culture, and history.

The museum provides information about the life of tribal people using an interactive approach to convey details. The museum incorporates oil statues, showcasing various festivals, tools used in their everyday life, their methods of worship, and more. The museum highlights the many traditions of the tribes, including their language, with texts provided in English as well as their tribal language for different titles. This interactive approach allows visitors to gain an in-depth understanding of the tribal lifestyle, culture, and history, while also providing an entertaining experience.

Wedding days are considered auspicious and joyous occasions in every culture. Tribals have their unique ways of performing marriage ceremonies, and we learnt about these traditions and dressed up in traditional ethnic wear of the tribes, accompanied the bride and groom, and witnessed the delightful ceremony. The energy and vibrancy of the culture and traditions were truly wonderful.

In conclusion, tribal life is intricately connected to nature and its beauty. We should strive to ensure that these cultures are preserved and celebrated for generations to come. It is also important to ensure the protection of tribal lands and natural resources. In sum, honouring tribal life and culture is essential to ensure the conservation and appreciation of our planet.
