Tokyo, the buzzing capital and economic hub of Japan, is a place filled with an abundance of culture, cuisine, and infrastructure. But what exactly makes this city so special? Let’s find out in our blog. Tokyo is filled with tourist hotspots and amazing destinations. Tokyo Skytree, the 634-metre-tall tower, offers a mesmerising view of the vast capital city. Senso-ji Temple is the oldest-established temple in Tokyo and showcases Japan’s rich heritage. This temple is situated near Nakamise Street in Asakusa, which serves as one of the major shopping destinations in Tokyo.

We also visited Odaiba, a man-made island filled with indoor amusement parks and museums. Situated in Tokyo Bay, it is a popular destination for tourists visiting the city.

Tokyo also offers great cuisine, consisting of a wide variety of dishes like ramen, tempura, yakitori, and miso soup. From traditional cuisine to street food, everything is sure to make your mouth water. Apart from Japanese cuisine, there are plenty of options available for tourists who wish to try other cuisines. The people of Japan are also very hospitable and kind. Even though most of them were not fluent in English, they still tried to help us.

Our group had a lot of fun in Tokyo. It was a unique experience, and we learnt a lot about Japan’s history, culture, and heritage. Everything about Tokyo, and Japan as a whole, was admirable, and we would love to visit again. We are grateful to our school and EdTerra for organising this trip for us.
