Ranthambore: Touring a Learning Destination 2023

Back to wall

Our experience at Ranthambore was wholesome, filled with learnings about wildlife and history. This place will surely give you the experience that you can carry for the rest of your life. As you explore this place, you will soon realise how a trip can be a blend of fun and education.

Ranthambore is home to species of mammals, birds, plants and reptiles. It is famous for Royal Bengal Tigers. The jungle safari can be a refreshing delight to the eyes and the heart. The safari in the open canters and jeeps was surely one of the best experiences of our lives. The lively green environment and the fresh air of the forest surely gave us refreshment and relief. The whole park covers 392 square kilometres area, having more than eighty tigers according to the 2021 census. One can learn about different elements of nature with the help of a guide. There are so many unique birds and animals to see. It was a possibility that some birds could even perch on the canters. During the whole journey, we stayed hooked on learning and spotting different and beautiful flora and fauna.

We went to Ranthambore Fort, built in the tenth century, which is one of the oldest forts in India. Climbing so many stairs to reach the top of the fort may have felt a bit strenuous but in the end, it was all worth it. One can see the beautiful view and visit the Ganesha Temple, which is understood to be the main temple of Lord Ganesha. You also learn a lot about the architecture of the fort as you move along with the tour guide. If you hire a tour guide, you can easily learn about the main events of history.

One of the best places to buy items of cultural heritage like Bandhani prints and Block prints is the Dastkar NGO, where rural women completely make them by hand. The workers in Dastkar NGO have inspirational stories that teach you key values of life.

Ranthambore is a great place to visit. There are a lot of new things you can discover and learn. It is a great place for wildlife and history lovers. You will have a fun experience, be it the safari or the fort. It is a place you should surely visit once in a lifetime and also interact with the kind and humble locals.
